Entrypot

That's it. I found a name for my project : Entrypot.

Entrypot is the name of a new system I'm currently prototyping (see DevelopmentIdea).

The purpose is to let web users to enter any kind of semi-structured data into a web-system.

The purpose is that users can define new objects and object types, which they can define in structure and in content.

A first example of an Entrypot is my SOA Prototype repository (SOACollab), I have installed it here : http://soarepository.ifrance.com/setContext.php?ID=44

I will further develop the Entrypot for myself because the first user is me.

In the future, you can expect the following developments :

  • xml import of objects within the EntryPot --> complex element => new object Type and instance, simple element => new object attribute, embedded elements => new object + link
  • xml export of objects of the Entrypot
    • with xsl to make xml schemas (on all kind of objects)
    • with xsl to make wsdl on Interface type objects
    • with xsl to mindmap exports (freemind)
  • native rss exports
  • graphical exports
  • wiki integration (why not TiddlyWiki http://www.tiddlywiki.com)
  • themes
  • edit version and print version
  • Define Ready Set (http://readyset.tigris.org/) Object types
  • Integrate the Tryptique SOA (http://www.orchestranetworks.com/fr/soa/triptyque.cfm) as object type
